Ski Snowbird - Customize your Snowbird ski vacations with Ski.com

Famous for steep and deep with 3,000-foot vertical runs from the top of the tram. Now interconnected, Snowbird and Alta collectively offer some of the most dramatic terrain in the country with steep chutes, wide- open bowls, long groomers and plenty of deep powder. The Snowbird tram gets you to the summit in eight minutes, so you can ski your heart out. New this season is the Peruvian High Speed quad providing access to a 600 foot tunnel (with a four-minute “people mover” style lift through it – you don’t have to walk) and the best intermediate terrain of Mineral Basin. Aptly named, Snowbird really does have “the greatest snow on earth” and plenty of it.

Your Snowbird Vacation

With an average 500 inches of snow each season and a 3,200-foot vertical drop, Snowbird specializes in the dramatic: deep powder, steep chutes and wide-open bowls. Yet there are plenty of runs for intermediates and beginners. Maybe the best way to say it is, "a Snowbird ski vacation has plenty of everything," including the terrain park for snowboarders, an aerial tramway which can transport 125 passengers to the mountain’s 11,000-foot summit in eight minutes, Camp Snowbird for infants and children 3-12, and the famous Snowbird Mountain School.

Ski Snowbird and discover that there is a completely equipped rooftop spa at the Cliff Lodge where you’ll find the latest workout equipment and the most soothing mud baths and herbal wraps. Whatever your pleasure, it will be enhanced by the spectacular backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains.

The added attractions of Salt Lake City are only 24 miles away. Let us show you how to create an unforgettable ski vacation today to a remarkable ski resort.

The combined skiable terrain is nearly 5000 acres in size and second largest in the USA. Joined at Sugarloaf Pass (10,600 ft) and accessed via new high speed quad lifts from both Alta and Snowbird. Guest can purchase Alta-Snowbird combined tickets to ski the entire skiable area! (Alta does not permit snowboarding).

Snowbird is a great place to stay and ski

5
Excellent
Snowbird is the best place to stay and ski, as you have access to it and can either ski or bus over to Alta, which has the absolute best powder on earth. The Lodge at Snowbird is very convenient and friendly. I have stayed there 10 times and nothing else compares with it! The welcome wine and cheese is great, and the lobby fireplace is welcoming....

All about the Skiing!

Snowbird is a great resort for those of you looking to ski till you drop! The terrain is challenging and you can even ski Alta on an interchangable ticket. Not a whole lot to do besides skiing though, the restaurants are good, but very little night life- unless you count the sports bar. But a great and challenging skiers mountain.
